META
Meta AI Now Has a Dedicated Desktop App for Mac

Meta is bringing its AI chatbot to the Mac with new features designed to make it more useful for everyday work, including screen sharing, dictation, and connections to popular productivity tools.
Details:
The new Mac app lets users share their screen with Meta AI, allowing the chatbot to answer questions, suggest improvements, or create content based on what is visible.
Meta AI also supports dictation across Mac apps, making it possible to use voice input without staying inside the chatbot.
The Meta AI app (web, mobile, Mac) now connects directly to Instagram, Facebook, Meta ad campaigns, and Google Workspace.
It can analyze post performance (reach, likes, shares, saves) to suggest content, pull account/web data into decks, docs, and spreadsheets, and handle recurring tasks like weekly performance reports.
The Mac app is part of Meta’s broader push to turn its chatbot into a more capable productivity assistant, putting it in closer competition with desktop AI tools from OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic.

GOLDMAN SACHS
Where AI Is Squeezing Labor Markets, According to Goldman Sachs

AI is beginning to put measurable pressure on employment across developed economies, with the effects appearing strongest in a handful of industries and among workers just starting their careers, according to Goldman Sachs research.
Details:
Employment in call centers, software publishing, management consulting, and advertising has fallen noticeably below historical trends across developed markets, all areas where AI can automate significant parts of the work.
Call centers stand out most sharply. Employment is reportedly 39% below trend in the U.S., 33% below trend in Canada, and 27% below trend in Germany.
Entry-level workers appear particularly exposed. Goldman analyzed more than 800 occupations and found the strongest AI-related employment headwinds among workers at the beginning of their careers.
The impact is still concentrated in a relatively small group of industries and workers, rather than showing up as a broad decline across the entire labor market.
Meanwhile, AI adoption is already reaching roughly 15% to 20% across major developed economies, with France, the U.S., the Netherlands, and the U.K. among the leaders.
The findings suggest that AI’s effect on employment is no longer only a future concern. The pressure is already visible in some parts of the labor market, particularly in industries where AI tools can directly replace or reduce routine work.
