ANTHROPIC

Claude’s New Personal Finance Tool Can Analyze Your Spending

Anthropic has introduced Personal Finance, a new Claude feature that lets users connect their bank and credit card accounts to understand their spending, track transactions, and get answers to financial questions.

Details:

  • The tool connects through Plaid and provides read-only access, meaning Claude cannot move, manage, or invest users' money.

  • Users can ask Claude questions about their balances, transactions, and spending habits. They can also ask for explanations of financial concepts like APR (annual percentage rate) and get answers in everyday language.

  • The tool goes beyond basic spending summaries by analyzing transactions across connected accounts to flag potential issues, including duplicate charges, unexpected fees, and bills that have gradually increased.

  • Users can also ask broader questions, such as whether they are spending more than they earn.

  • Anthropic says Claude’s access is limited to each connected bank’s name, account name and type, the last four digits of the account number, balances, credit limits, and up to two years of transaction history.

Conversations within the Personal Finance hub are not used to train Anthropic's models, according to the company. It is rolling out in beta this week to Pro, Max, and Ultra subscribers in the U.S.

It's time to set up your holiday streaming campaign

Are you ready to reach holiday shoppers on CTV? For many streamers, the season is already underway.

Last year, according to Roku internal data, holiday content searches on Roku saw an 86% increase during October. And in November, those searches rise an average of 39% weekly. This surging holiday spirit is mirrored by consumer activity, as about half of Roku streamers shopped Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals in 2025.

Meeting those shoppers is easier than you might think. Begin with the seasonal outcome you hope to drive: awareness, online sales, leads, store visits, or another measurable goal. From there, define your audience, upload your creative, set the budget and campaign dates, and establish measurement before launching. You can even create a shoppable ad unit that lets streamers buy with a click of their remote.

Our holiday playbook offers a month-by-month guide to reaching shoppers during this all-important time of year.

First-time spenders get a $5,000 match on the first $5,000 spent with code BEEHIIV5K. Terms apply.

OPENAI

OpenAI Launches GPT-6 Cyber

OpenAI has released GPT-6 Cyber, a model designed to identify security vulnerabilities, test how they can be exploited, and help developers fix them before attackers can take advantage.

Details:

  • OpenAI says its researchers used GPT-6 Cyber to identify 81 previously unknown Firefox vulnerabilities, which Mozilla classified as high severity. Mozilla has begun releasing fixes.

  • The model also helped develop working exploits for 948 Linux kernel vulnerabilities, including 588 that were previously unknown.

  • GPT-6 Cyber received a “Critical” cybersecurity classification under OpenAI's safety framework, up from the “High” rating given to GPT-5.6 Cyber.

  • The company says it is seeing more attempts to misuse AI, including activity from malicious cyber actors and groups attempting to distill its models.

Initial access is limited to select customers of Daybreak Red, OpenAI’s program for advanced, authorized security work such as penetration testing and exploit development. OpenAI plans to expand access to all approved Daybreak Red customers over the coming weeks, and the earlier GPT-5.6 Cyber model is also becoming available to all of them.

How to Use ChatGPT to Prioritize Your Goals with the Two-List Rule

Warren Buffett’s two-list rule involves writing down your 25 most important goals, selecting the five that matter most, and putting the remaining 20 on an “avoid at all costs” list.

The idea is to organize your goals and evaluate their importance, so you can focus on your top priorities instead of spreading your attention across too many things.

  1. Open ChatGPT and share a list of your current goals, including major ambitions, smaller projects, unfinished plans, and anything you’ve been meaning to work on. Then use this prompt:

I want to apply Warren Buffett’s “two-list” rule to my current goals. Help me organize my goals into a clear list of 25. Then identify the five that seem most important based on impact, urgency, long-term value and alignment with my priorities. Put the remaining 20 on an “avoid at all costs” list and explain why each one might be distracting me from what matters most right now.
  1. Review the two lists and ask ChatGPT to explain why certain goals made the avoid list. You can use this follow-up prompt:

For each item on my avoid-at-all-costs list, explain what kind of distraction it represents. Is it a guilt goal, a vanity goal, a someday goal, a low-impact task or a goal that belongs in a later season? Then tell me what I should do if I feel tempted to work on it this week.

Use the explanations to reconsider your priorities. You don’t have to abandon the other 20 goals permanently. The point is to recognize which goals deserve your attention right now because they support the life you’re actively trying to build, and which can wait.

Notes:

  • If ChatGPT Memory is enabled, it may be able to use relevant information from previous conversations to help identify your goals.
