OPENAI

OpenAI Debuts New $100 ChatGPT Pro Plan

OpenAI announced a new mid-range subscription tier: a $100 ChatGPT Pro plan, joining its existing free, Go ($8), Plus ($20), and Pro ($200) plans.

Details:

  • The new plan offers five times more Codex than the $20 option, and appears designed to challenge Anthropic's $100/month Claude plan.

  • The company will offer double the Codex usage for a limited time for those who subscribe to the new plan.

  • As a celebration for reaching 3 million weekly Codex users, OpenAI is also resetting usage limits, and says it will continue doing so every million users, up to 10 million.

Aside from the new plan, reports say OpenAI is finalizing a model with advanced cybersecurity capabilities that it plans to release only to a small set of companies, mirroring Anthropic's approach with its Mythos model.

Speak your prompts. Get better outputs.

The best AI outputs come from detailed prompts. But typing long, context-rich prompts is slow - so most people don't bother.

Wispr Flow turns your voice into clean, ready-to-paste text. Speak naturally into ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or any AI tool and get polished output without editing. Describe edge cases, explain context, walk through your thinking - all at the speed you talk.

Millions of people use Flow to give AI tools 10x more context in half the time. 89% of messages sent with zero edits.

Works system-wide on Mac, Windows, iPhone, and now Android (free and unlimited on Android during launch).

ANTHROPIC

Anthropic Considers Building Its Own AI Chips

Anthropic is currently exploring the possibility of designing its own AI chips amid a growing shortage.

Details:

  • The plans are still in early stages, with no dedicated team in place and no specific design committed to yet. The company may still decide to simply buy chips rather than design its own.

  • Anthropic currently uses a range of chips, including tensor processing units (TPUs) designed by Google and Amazon's chips, to develop and run its AI software and chatbot.

  • This comes as Claude's popularity with paying users has skyrocketed this year, with Anthropic's annualized revenue now surpassing $30 billion, up from around $9 billion at the end of 2025.

Other tech giants like Meta are making similar moves, but the decision is far from simple, as designing an advanced AI chip can cost as much as half a billion dollars, according to industry sources.

AI Tutorial

How to turn any question into interactive visualizations with Gemini

  1. Go to https://gemini.google.com/ and sign in.

  2. Select the Pro model in the prompt bar.

  3. Start your prompt with 'show me' or 'help me visualize' to explore a complex concept.

Example: "Show me how a double slit experiment works."

You can then manually adjust sliders or input exact numbers to see how those changes update the visualization in real time

This new feature is available to all users but only on the web (not mobile) for now.

Google and Intel have announced a deeper multiyear partnership focused on scaling AI infrastructure, with Google Cloud continuing to rely on Intel’s latest Xeon chips for AI, cloud, and inference workloads.

The companies will also expand joint development of custom infrastructure processing units (IPUs), designed to improve data center efficiency by offloading tasks from CPUs.

The startup is running an 8-week competition where contenders will use Perplexity Computer to build businesses. Finalists can secure up to $1M in investment from the Perplexity Fund and up to $1M in compute credits.
