CLOUDFLARE

Cloudflare Pushes AI Companies to Pay for Publishers' Content

Cloudflare is introducing new measures that give website owners more control over how AI companies access their content, while encouraging AI providers to pay publishers when their content is used.

Details:

  • Starting September 15, 2026, Cloudflare will block mixed-use web crawlers by default on ad-supported websites. These are crawlers that combine traditional search indexing with AI training or AI agent purposes.

  • Website owners will still be able to change these settings, but the new defaults will apply to new Cloudflare customers, new websites, and all existing free users.

  • Cloudflare says the goal is to let publishers remain visible in search engines without automatically allowing their content to be used for AI training or agent services.

  • The company is also expanding its monetization tools with Pay Per Use, allowing publishers to earn revenue when AI companies generate value from their content, not just when itโ€™s fetched.

  • Cloudflare is starting off with two partners, Ceramic.ai and You.com. Opted-in publishers get paid whenever their content shows up in Ceramic's AI search results when You. com accesses a piece of their premium content.

Cloudflare says these changes are designed to help create a more sustainable relationship between publishers and AI companies as AI-generated traffic continues to grow across the web.

TOGETHER WITH MASTERWORKS

Investors see ANOTHER return from Masterworks (!!!!)

Thatโ€™s 6 sales in 7 months. 29 all time. And the performance?

16.5%, 17.6%, and 17.8%, net annualized returns on sold works held longer than one year (See all 29 at Masterworks.com)

Itโ€™s not from stocks, private equity, or real estateโ€ฆ itโ€™s from contemporary and post war art. Crazy, right?

With Masterworks, you donโ€™t need to be a BILLIONAIRE to invest in multi-million dollar art anymore.

Historically, the segment overall has had attractive appreciation and low correlation to stocks.*

Masterworks targets works featuring legends like Banksy, Basquiat, and Picasso, identifying what they believe to have significant long-term appreciation potential, not just at the artist level but at the level of individual artworks.

As one of the largest players in the art market, with $1.3 billion invested over 500 artworks, they pass critical advantages through to their 70,000+ members to add art to their portfolios strategically.

META

Meta Quietly Launches Pocket, an AI App for Creating Games

Meta has quietly released a new app called Pocket, an AI-powered platform that lets users create and share interactive games and mini apps using simple text prompts.

Details:

  • Pocket allows users to generate interactive experiences, called "gizmos," by describing what they want in natural language.

  • The app also includes a scrollable discovery feed, where users can browse, play, and share creations made by the community.

  • Pocket is based on technology from Gizmo, the AI gaming startup Meta acquired earlier this year, and offers a similar prompt-based experience for building interactive content.

The app appeared on both the App Store and Google Play in late June, although Meta has not officially announced the launch or commented on the release.
