OpenAI and Anthropic Launch Voice AI Updates
OpenAI and Anthropic have both introduced major updates to their voice experiences, with OpenAI focusing on desktop AI control and Anthropic expanding voice-powered productivity across connected apps.

OpenAI has brought ChatGPT Voice to its desktop app, allowing users to speak natural language commands to control AI agents, browse websites, interact with apps, and complete multi-step tasks on their computer.
The feature is powered by OpenAI's new ChatGPT-Live voice models and works with ChatGPT Work and Codex, enabling workflows such as creating pull requests, debugging code, and managing development tasks through voice.
Anthropic has upgraded Claude Voice to support its Opus and Sonnet models, giving users access to more capable AI during voice conversations. Until now, it had only been available on Claude Haiku, a faster but less powerful model.
Claude Voice can now interact with connected services including Gmail, Google Calendar, Slack, Notion, and Canva, allowing users to schedule meetings, draft emails, update documents, and perform other productivity tasks using voice.
Anthropic's new voice mode is available to all users in beta across platforms (free users will be restricted to using the Haiku model with only one connected app), while OpenAI's new feature is rolling out globally today on macOS and Windows to Plus, Pro, Business, Edu, and Enterprise plans.

Major AI Companies Urge U.S. to Support Open-Weight AI Models
In his first-ever post on X, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang shared an open letter in support of open models, saying they improve safety, cybersecurity, innovation, and technological sovereignty.

The letter was co-signed by 25 organizations, including Nvidia, Microsoft, Meta, Mistral, Hugging Face, Y Combinator, and Andreessen Horowitz.
It urges U.S. policymakers to support open-weight AI instead of imposing broad restrictions.
Notably, OpenAI and Anthropic were not among the signatories, although the letter also received support from other notable figures in the industry, like Elon Musk.
The letter argues that open-weight AI models are essential for strengthening U.S. AI leadership by promoting competition, innovation, transparency, and broader access to advanced AI technologies.
It also defends the distillation process more broadly, while stating that concerns about unlawful distillation should be addressed through 'targeted legal and commercial frameworks' instead of 'sweeping restrictions on techniques that play an important role in AI innovation.'
The statement comes as the Trump administration considers measures that could restrict advanced Chinese open-weight AI models, following allegations that China's Moonshot AI developed Kimi K3 by distilling Anthropic's Fable model.

Stop Asking ChatGPT to Write Your Resume, Try This Instead
Go to ChatGPT and try this prompt:
"Act as my career strategist, recruiter, and interview coach. My goal isn't simply to find another job, it's to leave a role that no longer fits me."
If ChatGPT doesn't have memory enabled, also include add
"here's my background: Current role, years of experience, skills, industries I've worked in, what I enjoy most about my job, what drains my energy, salary goals, location preferences. Then, based on this information, recommend career paths I may not have considered, explain which of my skills transfer best to those roles, identify companies that value my experience, rewrite my experience for those employers, point out skills I should build over the next six months, create a realistic 30-day job search plan. generate interview questions I should expect. Challenge my assumptions if I'm thinking too narrowly."
If you use ChatGPT's memory feature, you can also ask:
"Based on what you know about me, what should I do tomorrow to move closer to a job I'll enjoy?"
If the response feels overwhelming, ask ChatGPT to summarize it into bullet points or focus on one topic at a time.
This prompt helps you think beyond your current title, as just searching for the exact same role at a different company is a common mistake. ChatGPT spends the entire conversation learning about your experience, your strengths, and what you're actually trying to achieve, then creates a response tailored specifically for you.
Once you've identified the roles you want to pursue, you can use the same conversation to tailor your resume, improve your LinkedIn profile, prepare for interviews, and write stronger applications.

OpenAI has made ChatGPT Health available to all U.S. users aged 18 and older across its Free, Go, Plus, and Pro plans. The feature allows users to connect health data from services such as Apple Health, Epic, Oracle Health, and MyFitnessPal to receive more personalized responses to health-related questions.
Microsoft has introduced MAI-Image-2.5 Pro and MAI-Voice-2 Flash, two new in-house AI models designed for different enterprise workloads. MAI-Image-2.5 Pro focuses on high-quality image generation for professional creative tasks, while MAI-Voice-2 Flash is optimized for fast, low-latency speech applications such as voice assistants and customer support.
Yelp has partnered with OpenAI to bring its reviews, ratings, photos, and business information directly into ChatGPT's responses for local recommendations. The partnership will also add Yelp’s "Request a Quote" feature, allowing users to contact local service providers through ChatGPT.
