Google to Introduce Buy Buttons in Gemini and AI Search

Google is pushing deeper into AI-powered commerce, announcing new buy-now features for Gemini and Search alongside an open-source protocol designed to turn AI assistants into full shopping agents.

Details:

  • Google has partnered with major retailers like Shopify, Walmart, Target, Wayfair, and Etsy to launch the Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP), a shared standard that lets AI systems and online stores talk to each other across the entire shopping flow.

  • UCP creates a common language for product discovery, checkout, payments, and post-purchase support, allowing AI agents to act on a user’s behalf instead of just recommending items.

  • The protocol will “soon” power a new checkout feature in Gemini and Google’s AI Mode in Search, letting users complete purchases without jumping between apps or websites.

  • The standard is open-source and works with existing industry frameworks, making it easier for retailers and payment providers to support AI-driven shopping without building custom tools.

  • More than 20 companies have already signed on, including Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Stripe, and retailers like Best Buy, Macy’s, Home Depot, Kroger, Lowe’s, and Zalando.

  • Google is also launching a business agent that lets shoppers chat with brands inside Search, with early partners like Lowe’s, Michael’s, Poshmark, and Reebok using AI assistants that speak in the brand’s voice.

With this move, Google aims to position Gemini as more than a chatbot, turning it into a transaction layer for online shopping as it competes with OpenAI, Amazon, and Microsoft to control the future of AI-powered commerce.

TOGETHER WITH WISPR FLOW

Dictate prompts and tag files automatically

Stop typing reproductions and start vibing code. Wispr Flow captures your spoken debugging flow and turns it into structured bug reports, acceptance tests, and PR descriptions. Say a file name or variable out loud and Flow preserves it exactly, tags the correct file, and keeps inline code readable. Use voice to create Cursor and Warp prompts, call out a variable like user_id, and get copy you can paste straight into an issue or PR. The result is faster triage and fewer context gaps between engineers and QA. Learn how developers use voice-first workflows in our Vibe Coding article at wisprflow.ai. Try Wispr Flow for engineers.

ANTHROPIC

Anthropic Launches Claude for Healthcare

Just one week after OpenAI unveiled its own healthcare AI offering, Anthropic has introduced Claude for Healthcare, signaling an intensifying race to dominate AI-powered medicine.

Details:

  • Claude for Healthcare is designed for providers, insurers, and patients, with infrastructure built to meet HIPAA compliance standards for handling sensitive medical data.

  • The assistant can connect to key U.S. healthcare databases, including Medicare coverage rules, ICD-10 diagnosis codes, and the National Provider Identifier registry, along with access to PubMed’s vast library of biomedical research.

  • Anthropic is also adding two new Agent Skills, one of which helps review prior authorization requests, a major bottleneck in U.S. healthcare that often delays treatment.

  • Users on Pro and Max plans can link personal health data through integrations like HealthEx and Function Health, with Apple HealthKit and Android Health Connect planned next. The company says this data will not be used for model training.

  • For life sciences and clinical research, Claude now connects to platforms like Medidata, ClinicalTrials.gov, bioRxiv, and medRxiv, plus tools for generating trial protocols that follow FDA and NIH standards.

  • The system runs on Claude Opus 4.5, which Anthropic says delivers stronger medical reasoning and fewer errors than previous versions.

AI Tutorial

Stop Saying “Write My Resume.” Use These ChatGPT Prompts Instead

Go to ChatGPT and use these 11 prompts:

  1. Analyze Job Requirements

Use this first to decode what the employer actually wants and prioritize what matters most.

"I'm applying for [job title] at [company]. Here's the job description: [paste JD]. Identify the top 10 hard skills, soft skills, and keywords that appear most critical. Rank them by importance and tell me which ones I should prioritize in my resume."
  1. Target role & strategy calibration

Use this before any resume writing so the AI actually thinks like a recruiter for your role.

"You are an experienced recruiter and hiring manager in [TARGET INDUSTRY] who regularly screens resumes for roles like [TARGET ROLE TITLE].

Step 1 – Ask me questions:
Ask me up to 15 concise questions to understand:
- The exact job I want now (role, level, location/remote, salary band)
- The job description (I’ll paste it)
- My career stage (student/new grad, junior, mid, senior, lead, executive)
- My top 10 skills (technical + soft)
- My 5–10 biggest achievements
- Any constraints: employment gaps, career switch, short tenures, non-standard path, etc.
- Country I’m applying in (so you follow local resume norms)

Do NOT start writing a resume yet.

Step 2 – Summarize positioning:
After I answer:
- Summarize my ideal target role in 3–4 bullet points
- List 5–7 key value propositions that matter MOST for this role
- List 5–10 MUST-HAVE skills/keywords from the job description
- Highlight any risk factors (gaps, weak areas) and how we’ll strategically handle them in the resume

Wait for my confirmation on this summary before drafting anything."
