Reddit Sues Anthropic, Alleges Unauthorized Use of Site’s Data
Reddit filed a lawsuit against Anthropic on Wednesday, accusing the company of unlawfully using its data for commercial purposes and violating Reddit’s user agreement.
Details:
Reddit claims that the AI company accessed Reddit’s website more than 100,000 times since July 2024, using automated bots to scrape user-generated content, which was then used to train Claude.
Reddit has previously entered licensing agreements with Google and OpenAI but claims that Anthropic has resisted doing the same.
It is now seeking financial compensation and an injunction to prohibit Anthropic from using the content for commercial purposes.
Anthropic said in a statement that it disagreed with Reddit’s claims “and will defend ourselves vigorously.”
Reddit’s lawsuit is different from others brought against AI companies because it doesn’t allege copyright infringement but instead focuses on the alleged breach of Reddit’s terms of use. There’s also Sam Altman’s close involvement with the social media giant as its third-largest shareholder and a former member of the board of directors.

ChatGPT Can Now Connect to More Apps
ChatGPT is introducing new features for business users, including integrations with various cloud services, meeting recordings, and MCP connection support.

The new meeting recording feature allows users to capture and transcribe meetings, brainstorming sessions, and voice notes. The transcriptions are time-stamped and can generate summaries with action items.
ChatGPT can now connect with cloud storage services such as Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, SharePoint, and OneDrive, allowing users to query ChatGPT for information stored in their documents and spreadsheets.
OpenAI has also introduced deep research connectors for platforms like HubSpot, Linear, and select Microsoft and Google tools, allowing users to create detailed research reports by combining data from these sources with information from the web.
Pro, Team, and Enterprise users can also use MCP to connect with other tools for deep research.
These features will help the company better compete for enterprise customers and grow its user base, which already includes three million subscribers to its enterprise focused products, up from two million reported by OpenAI COO Brad Lightcap in February.

How to design UIs with Google's Stitch
Go to Stitch and sign in.
Choose either ‘mobile’ or ‘web,’ enter your prompt, and click ‘Generate Designs.’
Example prompt: ‘Create a fitness app with a focus on outdoors.’
Stitch will generate a design that you can then edit by chatting. You can change colors, adjust content, or even translate it into multiple languages.
Finally, copy the final design to Figma or export the frontend code.
