OPERA
Opera’s New AI Browser Can Code, Develop Games, and Shop Online on Its Own

Opera has introduced Opera Neon, an AI-powered browser designed to automate tasks such as shopping, form-filling, and coding.
Details:
The browser offers three new buttons: Chat, Do, and Make.
“Chat”, provides a chatbot interface for web searches and information retrieval.
“Do” uses Opera's Browser Operator AI agent to perform tasks like form completion and trip bookings locally within the browser.
Finally, “Make” enables users to create games, websites, code snippets, and reports through text prompts.
These AI workflows operate via a cloud-based virtual machine, allowing Neon to perform tasks by itself even if you go offline.
The browser is currently available via waitlist, and will require a subscription upon release, though pricing details have not been disclosed.

Estonia Launches Digital Revolution in Schools
Unlike some countries that are looking to ban phones in schools, Estonia is embracing technology by integrating both smartphones and AI into its curriculum as part of its digital education strategy.
Details:
Estonia encourages the use of digital devices as learning tools. Students are regularly asked to use their devices in class, and starting in September, they will be given their own AI accounts as part of the AI Leap initiative.
Through this initiative, the country aims to equip 58,000 students and 5,000 teachers with advanced AI tools by 2027, focusing on digital ethics, self-directed learning, and higher-order cognitive skills.
Estonia has emerged as a leading education powerhouse in Europe in recent years. In the most recent PISA assessment, published in 2023, Estonia ranked first in Europe for maths, science, and creative thinking, and second only to Ireland in reading.
Estonia is positioning itself to be a global pioneer in AI-enabled education, aiming to become 'one of the smartest AI-using nations' by focusing on developing higher cognitive skills in young people, since AI will soon handle many other tasks more efficiently.

According to the database created by French lawyer and data scientist Damien Charlotin, 128 court cases have been caught with AI hallucinations so far, with more than 20 legal professionals busted in the past month alone.
Dario Amodei added that unemployment could spike between 10% and 20% in the next five years. His warning is meant to alert the government and AI companies to prepare the country for what’s coming.
“Most of them are unaware that this is about to happen,” Amodei said. “It sounds crazy, and people just don’t believe it.”

Google has introduced a new feature in Google Drive that allows its Gemini AI to provide summaries for video files, building upon its existing capability to summarize documents and PDFs.
After you open the video player, tap the Gemini icon in the top-right corner to launch the side panel. You will see a “Summary of this content,” along with other suggested prompts, or you can type in specific questions about the video.
It will be added to the open-source Gemma family later this year and eventually to Google products like Gemini Live. You can share feedback and express interest in early testing at http://goo.gle/SignGemma
