OpenAI Eyes Move into Consumer Health

OpenAI is reportedly expanding its sights into the health-tech space, exploring consumer-facing tools such as a generative AI personal health assistant and a health data aggregator.
Details:
The company is considering developing consumer health applications, including an AI-powered personal health assistant, as part of its push beyond its main offerings.
The move follows strategic hires: Dr. Nate Gross (formerly co-founder of Doximity) was brought in as head of healthcare strategy in June, and former Instagram executive Ashley Alexander is now VP of Health Products.
At the October HLTH conference, Gross revealed that ChatGPT attracts roughly 800 million weekly active users, many of whom use the service for medical or wellness-related queries.
The challenge is steep: Big tech firms like Google, Amazon, and Microsoft have historically struggled to gain consumer traction in health-data services, citing privacy, adoption, and integration barriers.
OpenAI's shift into consumers' health signals a deeper move beyond the company's core AI products into new territory with high potential and high complexity.

Microsoft’s Data Shows How Fast the World Is Changing

Microsoft has revealed that more than 1.2 billion people now use AI tools globally, surpassing the adoption of smartphones, PCs, and the internet. The company's freshly-released AI Diffusion Report maps this growth across over 100 countries and highlights the infrastructure, usage, and policy gaps that will define the next wave of AI innovation.
Details:
The report introduces three indices: the AI Frontier Index, the AI Infrastructure Index, and the AI Diffusion Index, which measure where breakthroughs occur, where scale-up is possible, and the extent to which AI is being widely used.
Adoption is fastest in regions with strong connectivity and digital infrastructure; yet nearly 4 billion people around the world still lack access to these foundational elements.
While AI is advancing as a general-purpose technology, the findings emphasise that speed alone won't deliver shared prosperity — access, skills development, and responsible policy are critical.
Microsoft offers the full AI Diffusion Report for stakeholders in industry, government, and academia who want to explore how AI is scaling and where the largest opportunities (and gaps) lie.

Clone Your Voice & Create a Song in Minutes Using Kits AI

Phase 1: Clone Your Voice Model
Record 10–30 minutes of clean, dry singing vocals and export as a .wav or other high-quality lossless audio file. The vocals must be monophonic with no harmonies, double-tracking, or backing music.
Log in to Kits AI, go to 'Create Voices' or 'Voice Cloning'. Select either 'Instant Voice Cloning' (for speed) or 'Professional Voice Cloning' (for optimal quality), then upload your audio file, name your model, and click 'Train'.
Allow the platform to process your data until your model appears in the 'My Voices' dashboard.
Phase 2: Create a Song Using Your Cloned Voice
Record a simple scratch vocal of the song you want your AI voice to sing, providing the AI with the rhythm, lyrics, and melody.
Go to 'Voice Conversion', upload your scratch vocal, and select your custom cloned voice model from the list. The AI replaces the rough sound of the scratch track with the high-fidelity sound of your clone.
Download the newly cloned vocal and mix it into your instrumental track in a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW).
