NVIDIA

Nvidia's Fugatto AI Audio Generator Creates Sounds 'Never Heard Before' 🗣

Nvidia has just announced Fugatto, an AI-powered tool capable of generating entirely new and unique audio experiences.

Details:

  • The tool can transform voices by adjusting tone, accent, or emotion, edit music by isolating vocals, adding instruments, or changing melodies, and generate custom sound effects from detailed text descriptions.

  • Fugatto uses text and audio prompts to craft sounds, music, and speech it has never been explicitly trained on, allowing it to create sounds that have never been heard before, based on wild prompts like “Create a saxophone howling, barking, then electronic music with dogs barking.”

  • It was developed using millions of audio samples and advanced instruction-based models, which enable it to learn new tasks without additional training data.

There are several other AI audio tools available, but this is the only one claiming to create completely new and unheard-of sounds. For now, Nvidia hasn’t announced when or if Fugatto will be made widely available.

Cursor Adds Autonomous Coding Agents

Cursor, the AI-powered coding tool, has just rolled out an exciting update that introduces autonomous coding agents. These agents can independently navigate coding contexts and execute terminal operations.

Details:

  • The new update allows AI agents to respond to error messages and make decisions to resolve issues without human intervention.

  • The update also includes other improvements, such as a revamped Composer tool, file recommendations, simplified image insertion, and improved performance.

  • Anysphere, the startup behind Cursor, recently secured $60 million in funding, backed by investors including Andreessen Horowitz and Thrive Capital.

Cursor's latest update could be a game-changer for developers. The tool remains free to download and is compatible with various language models, though a subscription is required to unlock additional functions.

How to use Amazon's new AI-powered shopping assistant

Rufus is a shopping assistant designed to help customers save time and make more informed purchase decisions by answering questions on a variety of shopping needs and products.

  1. Click the Rufus button

Visit amazon.com and click the Rufus button on the left side of the navigation bar. You can also open the Amazon app and tap the Rufus button in the bottom-right corner.

  1. Use the chat box

A chat box will pop up. You can type your question using natural language, or tap the microphone icon to speak your query. You can also pick a suggested query.

When Rufus responds, you can ask follow-up questions or choose one of the suggested questions.

  1. There are many ways Rufus can assist you. Here are some examples with prompts:

    • Understanding product details and hearing what other customers say: “What's the material of the backpack?”, “What do customers say?”

    • Getting product recommendations: “What are the best wireless outdoor speakers?”, “What are the best lawn games for kids' birthday parties?”

    • Comparing options: “What’s the difference between gas and wood-fired pizza ovens?”, “Compare OLED and QLED TVs.”

    • Accessing current and past orders: “When are my headphones arriving?”, “When was the last time I ordered sunscreen?”

    • Answering questions not obviously related to shopping: “What do I need to make brownies?”, “What do I need for a summer party?”

*Note: You can give feedback with a thumbs up or thumbs down based on the response.

Dream Machine now features a new interface, a mobile app, and a new image generation foundation model called Luma Photon.

Runway says the new image model marks "a big step forward in stylistic control and visual fidelity". The model specializes in stylistic consistency, generating the same type of image while adding or removing details—something other models struggle with.
