Microsoft 365 Copilot Can Now Build Apps and Workflows

Microsoft introduced new tools for its Copilot AI assistant that let users build applications, automate workflows, and create specialized AI agents using only conversational prompts — no coding required.

Details:

  • App Builder lets users describe what they need in natural language to generate working, shareable apps complete with a database backend, user interface, and security controls. They can preview and refine the app through multiple edits and comments, all within Copilot.

  • Workflows Agent converts natural-language instructions into automations across Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Planner, and more. It helps automate routine tasks such as sending emails and reminders, managing calendars, and sharing team updates.

  • Microsoft also introduced a “lightweight” version of Copilot Studio, the company’s agent-building platform. It allows users to create specialized AI assistants tailored to specific tasks or knowledge domains, drawing from SharePoint documents, meeting transcripts, emails, and external systems.

For now, the new features are available only to customers in Microsoft’s Frontier Program, an early access initiative for Microsoft 365 Copilot subscribers.

OpenAI Rolls Out New Features for Sora

OpenAI updated Sora with new “character cameos,” clip stitching for multi-scene edits, and leaderboards for popular remixes and characters.

Details:

  • Character cameos build on Sora’s existing feature that lets users create AI versions of themselves that can be used by others on the platform.

  • Users can now create reusable characters from any video upload and tag them in future generations. These characters can include subjects such as pets, illustrations, or toys.

  • Once created, each character gets its own display name and handle. Users can choose whether to keep them private, share them with mutual followers, or make them available to everyone on the platform.

  • The new video stitching feature allows users to select multiple clips from their drafts and merge them into a single sequence.

  • The update also introduces a community leaderboards feature that showcases the most remixed videos and the most frequently featured users and characters.

OpenAI is also expanding Sora to Thailand, Taiwan, and Vietnam, and for a limited time, users in the U.S., Canada, Japan, and Korea can sign up without an invite code.

AI Tutorial

Create on-brand marketing content for your business with AI

Google’s new Pomelli AI tool scans a company’s website to create a detailed brand profile, then suggests campaign ideas based on that profile.

  1. Visit labs.google/pomelli.

  2. Enter a website URL. Pomelli will analyze it and create a “Business DNA” profile based on the brand’s unique identity. This profile includes elements such as tone of voice, custom fonts, images, and color palette.

  3. Generate tailored campaign ideas

Using the Business DNA profile, Pomelli generates tailored campaign ideas specifically for the business.

You can enter a prompt to create content aligned with a particular vision, or select a suggested option provided by Pomelli.

  1. Edit and create branded creatives

Pomelli then produces a set of branded marketing assets that can be edited as needed. These can be downloaded and used across various channels, such as social media, websites, and ads.

*Note: The Google Labs experiment is available in English in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
