Microsoft Copilot Vision AI Can Now See Your Whole Desktop

Microsoft is rolling out an update to Copilot Vision that lets the AI tool see your entire desktop or “any specific browser or app window.”
Details:
Previously, the tool could only view two apps at a time and had to connect the dots between them, which limited its usefulness.
The feature is different from the controversial Recall, which automatically takes regular snapshots of your screen. Copilot Vision works more like screen sharing during a video call—it shows the AI what you allow it to see in real time.
Users can activate the feature by clicking the glasses icon in the Copilot app, selecting the desktop they want it to see, and asking Copilot to help with whatever they’re working on.
The AI can analyze content, provide insights, and even coach you through tasks such as improving a resume, enhancing creative projects, or offering tips while gaming.
The update is rolling out gradually for Windows Insiders

Adobe Firefly Can Now Generate AI Sound Effects for Videos

Adobe is introducing new, playful AI tools for creating sound effects and controlling generated video outputs.
Details:
The new Generate Sound Effects tool lets users combine onomatopoeia-like voice recordings with text descriptions to create realistic audio effects that better match what they're looking for.
Firefly’s Text-to-Video generator now includes advanced features like Composition Reference, which mirrors uploaded footage, and Keyframe Cropping, allowing users to define start and end frames for smoother video generation.
Users can also quickly apply visual styles like anime, vector art, or claymation to their videos with Style Presets.
The company also announced that it will soon expand the models available in the Firefly app, including Luma AI’s Ray 2, Pika 2.2, and Topaz’s image and video upscalers, as part of its strategy to maintain its leadership in creative software.

Let Google’s AI call businesses for you

Google is now rolling out a feature that uses AI to call local businesses on your behalf. It can check prices, book appointments, check restaurant wait times, confirm the availability of specific services, and ask other questions—so you don’t have to pick up the phone.
Here’s how to use it:
Search for a local service
Look up something like “pet groomers near me” or “dry cleaning in [your city]” on Google Search.Tap the AI option
If available, you’ll see a button that says “Have AI check pricing” with the Gemini logo.Answer a few questions
Google will ask for details—e.g., your pet’s type, breed, what service you need, preferred time, and how to send you updates (email or SMS).Wait while the AI makes the call
The AI will contact local businesses, ask your questions, and collect answers. You’ll receive a summary by email, text, or both—showing the responses from each business, including their contact info (phone, email, website).
*Notes:
The feature is available in English to signed-in users over 18 in the US, on both mobile and desktop versions of Google Search, except in some states.
It’s only available for certain types of businesses, like pet groomers, dry cleaners, nail salons, restaurants, and auto repair shops.
Businesses can opt out of these AI calls, which might be why the option doesn’t appear for some places.
Free users may have usage limits; Gemini Pro and Ultra users get more calls per day.
