MICROSOFT

Microsoft Adds Anthropic Models to Microsoft 365 Copilot

In its efforts to lessen reliance on OpenAI, Microsoft is bringing Anthropic’s Claude Sonnet 4 and Claude Opus 4.1 to Microsoft 365 Copilot users starting today.

Details:

  • The company clarified that Copilot itself will continue to be powered by OpenAI, but users now have the “flexibility to use Anthropic models too.”

  • Microsoft’s Researcher agent gets a new “Try Claude” button: after opting in, users can switch between OpenAI and Claude Opus 4.1 with a single click.

  • Claude Sonnet 4 and Claude Opus 4.1 will also be available as model options in Copilot Studio, Microsoft’s platform for building AI agents.

Microsoft emphasized, ‘This is just the beginning’ of the collaboration between the two companies, promising that ‘Anthropic models will bring even more powerful experiences to Microsoft 365 Copilot,’ which adds to reports suggesting that Claude could be coming to Excel and PowerPoint soon.

Top Publishers Hand-Selecting Amazon Brands to Promote this Holiday Season

This holiday season, top publishers are actively sourcing brands to include in their gift guides, newsletters, listicles, reviews, and more to drive high-intent shoppers straight to Amazon storefronts.

Here’s why it matters:

  • Amazon brands are seeing a 5:1 conversion rate compared to their DTC site

  • Millions of shoppers discover products through trusted publishers

Levanta is working directly with these publishers to introduce them to a small number of 7–9 figure brands.

If you qualify, your products could be featured in high-traffic placements that deliver predictable CAC and directly measurable sales.

XAI

xAI Offers Grok to Federal Agencies for 42 Cents

Elon Musk’s xAI has struck a deal with the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) to sell access to its Grok chatbot to federal agencies for 42 cents over 18 months.

Details:

  • The contract covers Grok 4 and Grok 4 Fast, which xAI describes as its most advanced reasoning models, and includes access to xAI engineers to help agencies implement the company’s tools.

  • The 42-cent price point undercuts OpenAI and Anthropic, which price their government offerings at $1 per year, and it is also a nod to Musk’s long-running use of ‘420’ references in business dealings.

  • xAI was close to being approved as a GSA vendor earlier this year, but after Grok’s “MechaHitler” incident on X, the planned partnership reportedly fell through.

This agreement is the latest deal under GSA’s “OneGov Strategy,” launched in April to standardize technology procurement and expand government use of AI. The initiative also approved Meta’s Llama model for agency use earlier this week, making it available to federal customers at no cost.
