Facebook Is Getting an AI Dating Assistant

Meta is adding two new AI features to Facebook Dating that it claims will help people avoid endless swiping and find the perfect match.

Details:

  • The new Dating Assistant helps users find better matches based on their interests and preferences, offering refined search and personalized match recommendations.

  • For example, users can ask the chatbot to find "a Brooklyn girl in tech," help refine their profile, or suggest dating ideas.

  • The second feature, Meet Cute, is a weekly "surprise match" chosen by Meta’s algorithm, which the company says could help users discover potential partners outside their usual dating pool. The feature is optional, and users can opt out at any time.

The use of AI in dating apps is nothing new. Newer apps like Sitch are also trying to stand out with AI, while established platforms like Tinder have introduced tools such as AI-powered photo selection and AI-powered matching.

OPENAI

Nvidia to Invest Up to $100 Billion in OpenAI

OpenAI and Nvidia have announced a strategic partnership to accelerate OpenAI’s model development with massive new compute capacity and fresh funding.

Details:

  • OpenAI plans to "build and deploy at least 10 gigawatts of AI datacenters with NVIDIA systems," which translates into millions of GPUs to power its upcoming models.

  • As part of the deal, Nvidia "intends to invest up to $100 billion in OpenAI progressively as each gigawatt is deployed," with final terms expected in the coming weeks.

  • OpenAI claims that Nvidia will now be a "preferred strategic compute and networking partner for its AI factory growth plans."

This partnership follows January’s announcement that Microsoft would no longer be OpenAI’s exclusive compute provider. Since then, the startup has teamed up with multiple partners on large-scale AI datacenter projects. Nvidia, meanwhile, has been investing heavily across the industry, including a recent $5 billion stake in the struggling chipmaker Intel.

How to design UIs with Google's Stitch

  1. Go to Stitch and sign in.

  2. Choose either ‘mobile’ or ‘web,’ enter your prompt, and click ‘Generate Designs.’

  3. Example prompt: ‘Create a fitness app with a focus on outdoors.’

  4. Stitch will generate a design that you can then edit by chatting. You can change colors, adjust content, or even translate it into multiple languages.

  5. Google has also recently added a new feature as well, called “Variants,” which lets you generate design variations of any screen with a single click.

  1. Finally, you can copy the finished design to Figma, export the frontend code, or share your canvas with coworkers and friends.

Google is rolling out Gemini Live to select Play Store games, letting players ask the AI for hints without leaving the game.

The assistant can “see” the screen in real time and respond with voice answers, similar to Microsoft’s Gaming Copilot.

Following last month’s rollout in India, the company is now launching the ChatGPT Go subscription in Indonesia at Rp75,000 ($4.50) per month.

OpenAI hopes to replicate the success of this mid-tier subscription option in India, where paid subscribers have more than doubled since its launch.

The new AI-powered Email Assistant will be available exclusively to Max subscribers, helping users draft replies, schedule meetings, and organize their inbox.

The feature works with Gmail and Outlook at launch. While it does not train on user emails, it can adapt to and mimic their writing style.

Major record labels have escalated their lawsuit against Suno, alleging that the AI startup knowingly pirated songs from YouTube to train its models, in violation of the platform’s terms of service that prohibit unauthorized copying.

Alibaba has released Qwen3-Omni, a multimodal model that accepts text, images, audio, and video as input while generating both text and audio output.

It comes in three versions: Instruct, Thinking (for advanced reasoning), and Captioner (built specifically for audio captioning). Developers can now access it through Hugging Face, GitHub, or Alibaba’s API.
