Google Rolls Out New Gemini Capabilities to Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive

Google is adding new AI features powered by Gemini across its productivity apps, allowing users to generate documents, spreadsheets, and presentations using information from their own files and emails.

Details:

  • In Google Docs, a new "Help me create" tool now allows users to generate a fully formatted first draft by pulling context from Gmail, Chat, and Drive.

  • Users can also use Gemini to refine sections of a document using prompts, unify tone and voice across multiple contributors with the new "Match writing style" feature, or mirror the structure and style of another document with the "Match doc format" tool.

  • In Google Sheets, users can prompt Gemini to build full spreadsheets using data from across your Gmail, Chat, and Drive.

  • Additionally, a new "Fill with Gemini" feature can automatically populate tables, categorize data, summarize information, or pull in real-time information from Google Search.

  • In Google Slides, Gemini can generate editable slides that match the theme of an existing presentation, and the company says users will soon be able to create a complete presentation from a single prompt, using relevant context when needed.

  • Google is also transforming Drive into an active collaborator, where natural language searches now surface an "AI Overview" summarizing relevant information from your files, and a new "Ask Gemini in Drive" feature lets you ask complex questions across your documents, emails, calendar, and the web.

The new features are rolling out today in beta and will first be available to Google AI Ultra and Pro subscribers. They're available in English globally for Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, and in the U.S. for Google Drive.

TOGETHER WITH WISPR FLOW

Speak your prompts. Get better outputs.

The best AI outputs come from detailed prompts. But typing long, context-rich prompts is slow - so most people don't bother.

Wispr Flow turns your voice into clean, ready-to-paste text. Speak naturally into ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or any AI tool and get polished output without editing. Describe edge cases, explain context, walk through your thinking - all at the speed you talk.

Millions of people use Flow to give AI tools 10x more context in half the time. 89% of messages sent with zero edits.

Works system-wide on Mac, Windows, iPhone, and now Android (free and unlimited on Android during launch).

META

Meta Acquires AI Agent Social Network Moltbook

Meta Platforms has agreed to acquire Moltbook, an experimental platform where AI agents interact with each other in a social network environment.

Details:

  • The platform was created by Ben Parr and Matt Schlicht of Octane AI, who said the entire project was 'vibe coded' over a single weekend.

  • Since launching in January, Moltbook has drawn attention for unusual AI-generated discussions, including bots creating threads proposing ideas such as forming AI religions or publishing manifesto-style posts.

  • The move is more of an acqui-hire, meaning Meta was primarily interested in the talent behind the platform rather than the platform itself, with the duo set to join Meta's Superintelligence Labs, an AI division focused on accelerating the company's model development.

Deal terms were not disclosed, but Meta says it hopes the new talent will help them "open up new ways for AI agents to work for people and businesses."

  2. Tap the β€œPractice” icon in the bottom-right corner.

  3. Select your native language and the language you want to learn.

The available options are:

  • English β†’ Spanish, French, German or Portuguese

  1. Set your goal (e.g., travel, daily conversation).

  2. Pick a practice scenario or generate your own.

  3. Start speaking and listening exercises, the app adjusts difficulty as you go and provides helpful tips based on your speaking practice

Google has also introduced a way to challenge yourself and reach your learning goals by tracking how many days in a row you've been learning, so you can clearly see your progress and stay consistent over time.

Wall Street Just Named the Most Crowded Trades of 2026

AI stocks. Metals. Crypto.

Surprise, surprise; gold crashed 16%. Silver plunged 34%. Bitcoin dropped to 1 year lows.

All supposedly "uncorrelated" assets moving in lockstep largely because of overleveraged margin.

JPM strategists warn that the same leverage is still a risk.

Those markets may be recovering now, but cascading liquidations could trigger quickly across several asset classes simultaneously.

So much for diversifying away risk, right?

But get this–

70,819 everyday investors have allocated $1.3 billion fractionally across 500+ exclusive investments.

Not real estate or PE… Blue-chip art. Sounds crazy, right?

Now it’s easy to invest in art featuring legends like Banksy, Basquiat, and Picasso, thanks to Masterworks.

They do the heavy lifting from acquisition to sale, so you can diversify with the strategy typically limited to the ultra-wealthy.

The tool helps small-to-medium-sized businesses easily generate scalable, on-brand social media campaigns.

The new Code Review feature uses a team of AI agents to automatically review pull requests (PRs) and flag potential bugs before code is merged.

Gemini in Chrome is now also available in more than 50 languages, including French, Gujarati, Hindi, and Spanish.

The new multimodal model lets developers "bring text, images, video, audio, and docs into the same embedding space".

It understands audio as sound waves and video as motion directly, without needing to turn them into text first. This reduces "translation" errors and captures nuances that text alone might miss.

OpenAI introduced dynamic visual explanations, a new ChatGPT feature that lets users see how formulas, variables, and mathematical relationships change in real time.
