OPENAI
OpenAI Launches GPT-5.5 Instant as New Default ChatGPT Model

OpenAI has introduced GPT-5.5 Instant, which will replace GPT-5.3 Instant as the default ChatGPT model, offering faster responses, improved accuracy, and better personalization.
Details:
The model is designed to reduce hallucinations, especially in sensitive areas like law, medicine, and finance.
It shows strong gains in benchmarks, scoring 81.2 on AIME 2025, up from 65.4, and improving performance on multimodal reasoning tests.
A key upgrade is context awareness. GPT-5.5 Instant can use its search tool to refer back to past conversations, files, and Gmail to provide more personalized answers. (This feature is rolling out to Plus and Pro users on the web, with plans to expand to mobile soon.)
OpenAI is also introducing memory sources across all ChatGPT models, showing users where information comes from and allowing them to edit or remove outdated sources.
For developers, GPT-5.5 Instant will be accessible via API as "chat-latest," with the older GPT-5.3 Instant version remaining available for the next three months.

Before you blame AI, blame the prompt.
Bad AI output is rarely a model problem. It is a prompt problem. Or a workflow problem. Or both.
TryPromptFlow is a PromptOps platform that diagnoses what is broken in your prompt, SOP, or workflow instructions, then returns a cleaner, more reliable version. It shows what is missing. It fixes weak constraints. It saves a version you can test, compare, and reuse.

SPAN
Startup Brings Mini Data Centers to Homes with Nvidia and PulteGroup

A startup is turning homes into part of the AI infrastructure network, introducing small data center units that can be installed directly on residential properties.
Details:
California-based startup Span has developed XFRA units, compact data center “nodes” that can be mounted on homes and small buildings.
The system uses unused electrical capacity from local grids, identified through Span’s smart electrical panels.
Nvidia provides the GPUs powering these units, enabling AI workloads to run directly from distributed locations.
PulteGroup is testing the technology in new housing developments, with early deployments already underway.
A network of these nodes can function like a distributed data center, offering an alternative to building large centralized facilities.
Homeowners hosting the units could receive financial incentives, such as lower energy and internet costs.
The approach aims to reduce costs and deployment time, with installations potentially faster and cheaper than traditional data centers. It may also help ease the strain AI has placed on power grids nationwide, which in some cases has resulted in higher electricity bills for homeowners.

How to use Google Gemini in Google Docs
You can collaborate with Gemini in Google Docs to help you rephrase your writing, summarize with bullet points, and more.
Work with Gemini while you write

Open a document in Google Docs.
Click the Gemini icon (top right corner) to open the sidebar.
Keep writing in your document while using the sidebar to ask questions, research, or check information.
Example:
“Write a paragraph describing the weather today in Mountain View, California using web search.”
"Find key points about [topic]."
You can also ask Gemini to use specific files to write, edit, or refine content. For example: "Update the project timeline based on the latest updates from our meeting notes doc." Then click "+" → Add from Drive and choose the file you want Gemini to use.
This helps you stay in the document and ask questions as they come, instead of jumping to or opening new tabs.
Write something new from scratch

Right-click where you want to write and select the “Help me write” option.
Enter a prompt, such as:
"Write a poem about the life of a 6-year-old boy."
"Write a thank-you letter after an interview."
You can then refine the generated response or insert it into the document with a single click.
Rewrite text with Gemini

Select the text you want to rewrite and click “Refine”
From the menu, pick an option:
Tone: Choose between Formal or Casual.
Summarize: Extracts the key points.
Bulletize: Formats the text into a bulleted list.
Shorten: Makes the text more concise.
Elaborate: Expands on the text with more detail and explanation.
Rephrase: Rewords the text.
Match writing style: Unify the voice and style across a document so it sounds like you
You can further refine the generated response, insert the new text, or replace the original text.
Get assistance directly from Google Drive
Open Google Drive and click the Gemini icon (top right corner).
Type: “Find the file [Name of the file] + Prompt.”
Example: Find the file "Sales Data," analyze the data, and give the top 3 takeaways.
Gemini will generate a response along with a link to the Google Doc as the source.

😱 An X user reportedly tricked an AI agent into sending him crypto using a hidden Morse code message
The latest in AI and Tech
The company is expanding Copilot Cowork with a major update that brings the AI tool to iOS and Android. It also introduces “Skills,” reusable instruction sets that let users customize how tasks are handled, along with deeper integrations across Microsoft 365 tools like Power BI and Dynamics 365.
The startup is reportedly accelerating development of its first AI-powered smartphone, with analyst Ming-Chi Kuo saying mass production could begin as early as 2027. The device is expected to feature specialized AI hardware, including dual processors for handling vision and language tasks, and a camera system designed to improve how the AI “perceives” the world.
Anthropic has introduced a set of 10 ready-to-use AI agent templates designed for financial services, targeting tasks like building pitchbooks, running KYC checks, and handling month-end closing. The agents can be enabled either as plugins within Claude Cowork or Claude Code, or as cookbooks for Claude Managed Agents.
Google is updating its AI-powered search experience to include quotes and perspectives from forums, blogs, and social platforms like Reddit. The goal is to give users more context by surfacing real user opinions alongside AI-generated answers, especially for niche or experience-based queries.
The company has agreed to pay $250 million to settle a class action lawsuit accusing it of overstating the readiness of its AI features tied to “Apple Intelligence.” The case claims the company led buyers of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 to expect advanced Siri capabilities that were not fully available at launch.
That’s a wrap!
