OpenAI Launches GPT-5.4 Thinking and Pro
OpenAI has released GPT-5.4, a new foundation model that the company describes as their “most capable and efficient frontier model for professional work.”
Details:
GPT-5.4 is available in two versions: GPT-5.4 Thinking, focused on reasoning tasks, and GPT-5.4 Pro, optimized for higher performance.
The new model achieved record scores on OSWorld-Verified and WebArena Verified, scored 83% on GDPval, and led the APEX-Agents benchmark for professional skills in fields like law and finance.
It also reduces hallucinations, with 33% fewer individual factual errors and 18% fewer mistakes overall compared to its predecessor.
The API supports up to 1 million token context windows, OpenAI's largest yet, and it is also more efficient, solving problems with significantly fewer tokens compared with GPT-5.2.
GPT-5.4 is OpenAI's first general-purpose model with native computer-use capabilities in Codex and the API, enabling agents to operate computers and carry out multi-step workflows across applications.
The company is also releasing ChatGPT for Excel in beta, allowing GPT-5.4 to be plugged directly into Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, along with new financial data integrations in ChatGPT for FactSet, Dow Jones Factiva, LSEG, Daloopa, S&P Global, and more.

Netflix Acquires Ben Affleck's AI Filmmaking Startup
Netflix has acquired InterPositive, an AI filmmaking startup founded by Oscar-winning actor Ben Affleck in 2022.
Details:
As part of the acquisition, Affleck will join Netflix as a Senior Advisor, and the entire 16-person InterPositive team of engineers and creatives will be integrated into Netflix's production technology division.
Unlike generative models that create video from text prompts, InterPositive's technology is designed to assist with "laborious" post-production tasks by building an AI model based on a film's own "dailies" (raw footage) to ensure artistic consistency.
Filmmakers can then use the model in post-production for tasks such as relighting scenes, adjusting color, mixing shots, or adding visual effects, an approach that focuses on enhancing existing footage rather than generating entirely new video
Netflix plans to give access to the technology to its creative partners but does not intend to sell the tools commercially.
The streaming giant says the goal is to give filmmakers more control over their work while keeping creative decisions in human hands, adding that the technology fits its long-standing approach of using tools to expand creative freedom rather than replace the people behind them.

Go to Import Memory and click Get Started (make sure you're logged into Claude first).
Copy the prompt it provides and paste it into whatever assistant you're currently using (ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, or any other tool).
Copy the response it gives you and paste it back into Claude. This text contains the context Claude will learn from.
Click "Add to Memory" and you're done.
Claude will now automatically reference your past preferences, tailor responses to your style, and remember project details across chats. Memory is free for all tiers, and you can review or delete stored information anytime in settings.

Following a ruling by Brazil's antitrust regulator CADE, Meta is now allowing rival AI companies to offer their chatbots on WhatsApp to Brazilian users for a fee, a day after confirming a similar decision for Europe.
