OpenAI Brings ChatGPT Integration to Microsoft PowerPoint

OpenAI has launched a new ChatGPT integration for Microsoft PowerPoint, allowing users to create, edit, and update presentations using natural language prompts.

Details:

  • The feature works through natural language commands and can also pull information from connected services like Gmail, Outlook, and SharePoint.

  • OpenAI says the PowerPoint integration is currently in beta, but it is already available to most users, including those on the free ChatGPT tier and ChatGPT Business plans.

  • The update expands OpenAI’s growing set of workplace integrations, following earlier support for tools like Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.

ChatGPT joining PowerPoint means you now have three AI options for your slides: ChatGPT, Claude, and Copilot.

Details:

  • Spotify has partnered with Universal Music Group to let fans create AI-generated covers and remixes of licensed songs directly through Spotify.

  • The remix tool will launch as a paid add-on for Premium subscribers (no date specified yet), with participating artists receiving a share of revenue generated from AI-created music based on their work.

  • The company also introduced Studio by Spotify Labs, a new desktop app that can generate private daily briefings, build playlists for long drives, or create short podcasts on topics you want to learn more about.

  • Spotify announced an ElevenLabs-powered audiobook creation tool for self-publishing authors, allowing writers to generate AI-narrated audiobooks directly through Spotify for Authors.

The audiobook tool will launch in beta in June as an invite-only, English-only experience available in select markets. The Studio by Spotify Labs app will launch in the coming weeks as a Research Preview for select users in 20+ markets, ages 18 and over.

AI Tutorial

Build native Android apps in Google AI Studio

  1. Go to https://aistudio.google.com/ and log in.

  2. Navigate to the Build apps section

  3. Select the “Build an Android app” option and enter a natural language description of the app you want to create.

Example: "Create a daily task tracker with local storage" or "Build an app that helps me log my daily workouts and tracks my progress over time."

  1. The agent will generate the app and launch it in the browser-based Android emulator.

  2. You can keep refining and improving it by chatting with Gemini in the chat panel until you get exactly what you're looking for.

Once your Android app is done, you can install it on a physical Android device connected to your computer via USB, publish it to the Play Store, or download the project as a ZIP file.
