Anthropic Overtakes OpenAI in Workplace AI Adoption
Anthropic has surpassed OpenAI in business AI adoption for the first time, according to new data from Ramp’s AI Index, marking a major shift in the competition for enterprise customers.

Ramp's April data shows Anthropic adoption rising to 34.4% among businesses using AI tools on the platform, while OpenAI fell to 32.3%, giving Anthropic a narrow lead.
Ramp economist Ara Kharazian described the results as 'a stunning reversal in the competitive market dynamics for AI model providers,' though he remains skeptical about whether this advantage will last.
Ramp's figures highlight rapid growth for Anthropic. In May 2025, just 9% of businesses were paying for Anthropic products, a figure that climbed 26% over the following 12 months. Meanwhile, OpenAI's share declined by 1% over the same period.
Enterprise adoption is considered one of the most important battlegrounds in AI because business customers typically generate far more revenue than consumer users, though OpenAI has questioned the completeness of Ramp's data, with a spokesperson saying 'we are driving enterprise transformation at scale. These are not engagements where customers pay with a credit card.

Nvidia Partners with Ineffable Intelligence to Build AI That Learns from Experience
Nvidia has announced a partnership with London-based startup Ineffable Intelligence to develop a new generation of AI systems focused on reinforcement learning.
Details:
Ineffable Intelligence, which is pursuing superintelligence, was founded in late 2025 by David Silver, a former DeepMind reinforcement learning leader and UCL professor known for his work on advanced AI systems.
The company will enter into an engineering-level collaboration with the chip giant to build AI models designed to learn through trial and error, allowing systems to improve from experience instead of relying mainly on large amounts of human-created data.
David Silver said current AI has mostly solved the easier challenge of learning existing human knowledge, while the harder problem is building AI capable of discovering entirely new knowledge on its own.
Ineffable recently raised a $1.1 billion seed round, the largest ever in Europe, with backing from investors including Sequoia, Lightspeed, Google, and the U.K.’s Sovereign AI Fund.

Adding a Trusted Contact in ChatGPT
Go to ChatGPT and go to Settings
Select Trusted Contact
Add the person you want as your trusted contact (must be 18 or older)
The contact receives an invitation from ChatGPT.
They must accept within one week. If they decline or don't respond, you can select a different contact.
To change or remove your trusted contact, go to Settings > Trusted Contact and select a new person or remove them
If ChatGPT detects a potential self-harm concern, it notifies you and encourages you to reach out to your Trusted Contact. A trained review team then assesses the situation, and if a serious concern is confirmed, your Trusted Contact will receive a brief notification via email, text, or in-app alert.
Notes:
The feature is rolling out to all adult users worldwide and will be available to everyone within a few weeks.
You can only have one trusted contact at a time
Trusted contacts can opt out at any time on their end

The latest in AI and Tech
Claude for Small Business is a package of connectors and ready-to-run workflows that put Claude inside the tools small businesses depend on. The company claims it will "help small business owners take full advantage of AI."
More than 600 current and former employees at OpenAI reportedly sold shares last year in a deal worth $6.6 billion collectively, with some cashing out the full $30 million allowed by the company.
Britain’s AI Safety Institute says the ability of frontier AI models to complete autonomous cybersecurity tasks has been improving at an accelerating pace. The agency estimates that AI cyber capabilities have recently been doubling every 4.7 months, with Anthropic’s Claude Mythos Preview and OpenAI’s GPT-5.5 outperforming even those projections.
Cisco is cutting nearly 4,000 jobs, or about 5% of its workforce, as it shifts more spending toward AI and cybersecurity despite reporting strong quarterly results. The company says the layoffs are part of efforts to restructure costs and expand investments in areas tied to future growth.
The U.S. has reportedly approved around 10 Chinese companies, including Alibaba, Tencent, and ByteDance, to buy Nvidia H200 AI chips, but no shipments have taken place so far. Reports say concerns from Beijing over foreign tech dependence and new supply chain security rules have slowed the deals. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang traveled to Beijing with President Trump to push the deal forward.
