Elon Musk Loses Court Battle Against Sam Altman and OpenAI

A California jury has ruled against Elon Musk in his lawsuit accusing Sam Altman, OpenAI, and Microsoft of betraying OpenAI’s original nonprofit mission by shifting toward a for-profit structure.
Details:
Musk claimed OpenAI and its leadership had effectively “stolen a charity” by creating a for-profit affiliate tied closely to Microsoft and commercial AI development.
The jury unanimously decided that Musk’s legal claims were filed too late under California law, accepting OpenAI’s statute-of-limitations defense.
OpenAI argued that any alleged harm to Musk had occurred years earlier, before the legal deadlines required to bring the claims to court.
Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers said there was substantial evidence supporting the jury’s conclusion, leading to a relatively short deliberation period.
The verdict removes a major legal risk hanging over OpenAI ahead of its widely discussed future IPO plans and broader restructuring efforts. However, Musk's legal team signaled the fight may not be over, with lead attorney Marc Toberoff responding to the verdict with a single word: "Appeal."

Where to Invest $100,000 Right Now, According to Experts
Investors face a dilemma. When the S&P 500 finished its worst quarter since 2022 last month, diversifiers like bonds and bitcoin fell too.
Even with the turnaround in mid-April, analysts at Goldman Sachs and Vanguard have projected low-single-digit annualized returns from 2024-2034.
Bloomberg asked where experts would personally invest $100,000 for their March monthly edition.
One answer that surfaced for a second time? Art.
It's what billionaires like Bezos and the Rockefellers have privately used to diversify for decades.
Why?
Appreciation. The ArtPrice100 Index outpaced the S&P 500 overall from 2000 to 2025
Low-correlation. The postwar contemporary segment has moved independently of traditional investments like stocks since ‘95.*
Resilience. A scarce, physical, and global asset class with decades of demonstrated demand.
Thanks to the world's premier art investing platform, now anyone can invest in works featuring legends like Banksy, Basquiat, and Picasso, without needing millions.

Cursor Launches Composer 2.5 with GPT-5.5-Level Coding Performance at Lower Cost

Cursor has released Composer 2.5, a major upgrade to its in-house AI coding model that the company says can match top frontier models on coding benchmarks while costing significantly less to run.
Details:
Composer 2.5 is built on the open-source Kimi K2.5 model from Moonshot and was trained using 25 times more synthetic coding tasks than the previous Composer 2 release.
On benchmarks such as SWE-Bench Multilingual and CursorBench v3.1, Composer 2.5 reportedly performs at levels comparable to models like GPT-5.5 and Opus 4.7.
The company is heavily emphasizing pricing, with Composer 2.5 costing $0.50 per million input tokens and $2.50 per million output tokens, significantly below pricing from OpenAI and Anthropic.
Cursor also introduced a faster version of the model with the same intelligence but higher pricing, at $3.00 per million input and $15.00 per million output tokens.
The company also revealed it is training a much larger nsuccessor model from scratch in partnership with SpaceX and xAI, using the Colossus-2 cluster powered by around one million H100-equivalent GPUs.

The company is once again reshuffling its executive ranks as part of its push to unify ChatGPT and Codex into one core product experience. Greg Brockman will now be officially taking over the company's product strategy, a role he had been filling on an interim basis while Fidji Simo, CEO of AGI Deployment, is on medical leave.
Reports say the updated assistant could include features such as automatic deletion of chat history after a set period, similar to disappearing message options in messaging apps. This would be part of the company's effort to position the new Siri as a privacy-focused alternative.

The feature, called Likeness Detection, helps identify videos that use AI-generated versions of a creator’s face without permission and allows removal requests directly through YouTube Studio. Previously limited to members of the YouTube Partner Program, the tool is designed to reduce misleading deepfake content on the platform.
Amazon has added a new feature to Alexa Plus that lets users create AI-generated podcast episodes on nearly any topic. The tool generates conversations between AI hosts and allows users to customize the discussion, length, and focus before the episode is created.
Anthropic and OpenAI reportedly account for 89% of revenue among leading AI startups, according to an analysis by The Information. The combined annual revenue of 34 major AI startups has nearly doubled to around $80 billion in just six months. Other companies like Perplexity, ElevenLabs, and Cognition have also surpassed $500 million in annual revenue.
