ANTHROPIC
Anthropic Launches a Voice Mode for Claude 🗣

Anthropic has introduced a voice mode (currently in beta) for its chatbot, enabling mobile users to have “complete spoken conversations with Claude.”
Details:
It is powered by Anthropic’s Claude Sonnet 4 model and supports five distinct voice options.
Users can switch seamlessly between text and voice, with a transcript and summary available afterward.
Voice interactions count toward regular usage limits, with free users typically having access to 20–30 voice conversations.
Paid subscribers can also integrate voice mode with Google Workspace, accessing features like calendar and email summaries.
With this move, Anthropic is catching up to competitors like OpenAI, Google, and xAI, which have offered voice interaction for some time. Now, the race is on to deliver the best spoken experience.

META
Meta Reportedly Splits AI Team to Better Compete with OpenAI and Google

Meta is restructuring its AI teams to accelerate the development and deployment of new products and features amid increasing competition.
Details:
According to an internal memo obtained by Axios, Chief Product Officer Chris Cox announced the creation of two new AI divisions: the AI Products team, led by Connor Hayes, and the AGI Foundations unit, co-led by Ahmad Al-Dahle and Amir Frenkel.
The AI Products team will focus on Meta's AI assistant, AI Studio, and AI features within Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
The AGI Foundations unit will oversee a range of technologies, including the company’s Llama models, along with efforts to advance reasoning, multimedia, and voice functions.
No executives are leaving, and no jobs are being eliminated as part of the changes, although some leaders have been reassigned from other departments.
The reorganization comes as competition from Deepseek in open-source models intensifies, and the company struggles with the release of its largest version of Llama 4, delayed "because of concerns that it may not be enough of an advance on previous models."

xAI has entered a one-year partnership with Telegram to integrate its Grok chatbot into the messaging platform. As part of the deal, xAI will invest $300 million in cash and equity into Telegram and share 50% of subscription revenue generated through the app.
The company is exploring a new feature that would allow users to sign in to third-party applications using their ChatGPT accounts. This move aims to expand ChatGPT's utility beyond its own platform, potentially competing with sign-in services offered by companies like Apple, Google, and Microsoft.
