Anthropic Launches New Design Tool
Anthropic has introduced Claude Design, a new experimental tool that lets users quickly turn ideas into visuals using AI.
Details:
Claude Design allows users to generate prototypes, slides, one-pagers, and other visuals by simply describing what they want in natural language.
The tool creates an initial design that can be refined, letting users tweak elements like colors, layout, and features through follow-up prompts or direct edits.
It’s aimed at non-designers like founders and product managers, helping them move from idea to visual output without needing traditional design tools.
Rather than replacing platforms like Canva, the product is designed to complement existing tools, with exports available as PDFs, links, PPTX files, or directly into Canva for further editing.
Claude Design can also apply a company’s design system automatically, ensuring consistency by reading internal design files and codebases.
The product is powered by Claude Opus 4.7 and is currently available in research preview for Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise users. The launch shook the design software market, with Adobe shares dropping roughly 1.5% and Figma seeing a 7% decline.

Google Plans Nearly Two Million New AI Chips With Marvell
Google is reportedly preparing a major expansion of its AI hardware strategy, partnering with Marvell Technology on new custom chips for its data centers.
Details:
Google is working on two specialized new chips with Marvell, including a memory processing unit and a new TPU.
The memory processing unit is designed to work alongside Google’s existing TPUs, splitting workloads based on compute and memory demands to improve efficiency.
The second chip is a new TPU specifically optimized for inference (i.e., running finished AI models).
Google reportedly plans to produce nearly two million memory processing units, with the design expected to be finalized by next year
The partnership could help reduce Google's reliance on Broadcom, which currently plays a major role in TPU design and manufacturing. Even with this shift, Broadcom remains part of Google's long-term plans, with an existing contract reportedly extending through 2031.

How to use AccuWeather inside ChatGPT for real-time weather advice
AccuWeather has an app inside ChatGPT that lets you check live conditions, forecasts, air quality, and get practical advice like whether you need a jacket or the best time to head outside.
Go to ChatGPT and sign in.
In the left sidebar, click on "More" and then "Apps."
Search for AccuWeather and select "Connect."
Start a new chat, click the "+" sign inside the prompt bar, scroll down to "More," and click on "AccuWeather" to activate it.
Add your prompt.
Examples:
What's the weather like today and tonight, and what should I expect during commute hours?
What's the best 3-hour window to head outside today?
Will I need a jacket tonight?

The company says the platform brings together three areas: an AI-powered content supply chain, customer engagement orchestration, and what it calls "brand visibility," ensuring brands stay visible in a world increasingly shaped by AI agents.
The fast food chain is rolling out AI chatbots at select drive-thrus across the U.S. and Canada to speed up ordering and encourage larger purchases. The system is powered by Presto, joining a broader trend of fast food chains testing AI for customer service.
The National Security Agency is reportedly using Mythos Preview, the most advanced model from Anthropic, according to reports. The development comes despite tensions with the United States Department of Defense. The reports also suggest discussions are underway about broader government use.
The company is reportedly preparing to cut about 8,000 jobs on May 20, roughly 10 percent of its global workforce, with a second round planned for later this year. The cuts would help offset soaring AI costs.
Tesla is expanding its robotaxi service to Dallas and Houston, adding to its existing operations in Austin. The expansion comes as Tesla continues scaling the service while facing scrutiny over safety incidents.
