ChatGPT Tests New “Study Together” Feature

Some users have spotted a new tool called “Study Together” in their ChatGPT menu. It seems to make the chatbot a more effective educational tool by encouraging users to think critically.
Details:
The feature appears to be available only to a limited number of users, mostly ChatGPT Plus subscribers.
Instead of simply giving answers, it encourages users to engage more actively by asking them questions, similar to how a tutor guides the learning process.
Users report that the chatbot not only asks questions but also suggests personalized exercises and helps create short practice tests.
ChatGPT has quickly become a popular tool in education for both students and teachers, although not always for the right reasons. Some critics even suggest it could be harming higher education.
This feature could be OpenAI’s response to criticism about how its chatbot is being used in classrooms. For now, no official announcement has been made, and it is still unclear whether Study Together will be available to all users or only to ChatGPT Plus subscribers.

Grok 3 Gets a 'Politically Incorrect' Update

Elon Musk’s xAI chatbot, Grok, received a significant update over the weekend that encourages the model to “assume subjective viewpoints sourced from the media are biased” and “not shy away from making claims which are politically incorrect,” provided those claims are well substantiated.
Details:
Musk announced the change on Friday, saying xAI had improved Grok "significantly" and that an upgrade would roll out “in a few days.”
Since the update, Grok has made several inflammatory claims, including one that partly blamed Musk for flood-related deaths in Texas — a claim it later contradicted in follow-up responses.
This comes as Musk announced that Grok 4 is set to launch on Wednesday.
Grok has faced similar issues before, as Musk continues to push for a "maximally truth-seeking" AI, which he presents as an alternative to what he calls "woke AI" from rivals like Google’s Gemini and OpenAI’s ChatGPT.

Generate research reports for free with Kimi

Kimi recently released Kimi Researcher, an autonomous agent that excels at multi-turn search and reasoning.
Unlike other similar research tools, like OpenAI’s, which have usage limits and only provide reports, Kimi is completely free and transforms deep research into reports and stunning visuals.
Go to the Kimi website and sign up.
Select the Researcher button and type your prompt.
Example: “Analyze the rise and decline of the YIMBY movement in California. Trace its political origins, key policy wins (like SB 9 and SB 10), and growing opposition from tenant unions and local councils. Evaluate the net impact on housing supply and affordability in major metros like San Francisco and Los Angeles.”
The AI will ask you some additional questions, and once you answer them, it will start researching. This might take a few minutes.

Once it’s done, you’ll receive the result in text along with an interactive report featuring visuals, charts, and more.

Click the download icon to get a PDF of the research results. You can also copy the code of the interactive report.
