OPENAI
OpenAI Launches ChatGPT Images 2.0

OpenAI has rolled out ChatGPT Images 2.0, a significant leap in image generation that brings advanced reasoning, better text rendering, and multi-image creation.
Details:
A key upgrade is the new "thinking" capability. The model reasons before it generates, spending more or less time depending on the selected mode.
With thinking mode enabled, ChatGPT Images 2.0 can simultaneously generate up to eight images while maintaining consistency of characters, objects, and styles across a series.
It can generate complex visuals like infographics, slides, maps, UI mockups, educational content, and even manga-style sequences, with support for aspect ratios as wide as 3:1 and as tall as 1:3.
The model supports multilingual text generation, improving accuracy across non-Latin languages such as Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Hindi, and Bengali.
It also supports web research and document understanding, enabling it to generate visuals based on real-time data or complex files.
The model has claimed the #1 spot across all Image Arena leaderboards, displacing Google's Nano Banana 2 by a wide margin.
ChatGPT Images 2.0 is available today to all ChatGPT users, replacing GPT-Image-1.5 as the default. Advanced outputs with thinking are available to ChatGPT Plus, Pro, and Business subscribers. The model is also accessible in Codex and via the API.

META
Meta to Track Workers' Clicks and Keystrokes to Train AI

Meta is reportedly turning to its own workforce as a new source of training data, capturing how employees interact with computers to improve its AI systems.
Details:
Meta is installing new tracking software on U.S.-based employees’ computers to collect mouse movements, clicks, and keystrokes from employees to better understand how people use software in real-world scenarios.
The tool, called Model Capability Initiative (MCI), will run on work-related apps and websites and will also take occasional snapshots of the content on employees’ screens.
The data will be used to train AI systems, particularly for building agents that can navigate and operate computers more effectively.
According to Meta, the data is used solely for training purposes and not for any other internal use, with safeguards in place to protect sensitive information.
The move reflects a broader industry trend of companies seeking new data sources to improve AI performance as traditional datasets hit their limits. However, it has sparked significant privacy concerns, with many raising eyebrows over the fact that employees are given no option to opt out.
